Bonus points if you are overweight.
I'm overweight and very anxious. Only have a sore throat/head cold type symptoms at the moment but only on day one

Which was your worst day?

This is my first time with it despite my partner and daughter both having it twice before

Sore throat, headache, retching, coughing, aches and pains, chills, shaking, then the remainder of isolation feeling drained, still coughing, headache finally gone. Have been for a dog walk every day, which has helped mentally, still sleeping a lot.

First time having it this week & also overweight. That’s exactly how I was on day one. Started with a sore throat & headache. Tested negative on lateral flow. That then went & I had a cough, which was when I was positive. Then felt a bit bunged up, still had the cough. Also was slightly breathless throughout if I did over exert myself but not majorly or cause for concern. I’ve definitely had worse colds. I was a little worried prior to this as over weight. I’ve been triple jabbed so I think that helped

Sore throat (terrible) and a little cough, started one afternoon/evening. Next day felt a bit unwell so did a test and it was positive. Two hours later felt Levine I was hit by a truck and spent 5 days in bed. Felt shivery, achey, sore throat lasted 12 hours, nauseous, no appetite, anxiety (yup, weird) and dizzy. 5 weeks on I still get occasional aches and am so tired. In my 50s but fit and healthy weight.

I had a sore throat first and then a bit of a headache (but not too bad), mainly felt exhausted. First symptom on a Tuesday - felt terrible on Thursday, Friday, then a bit better over the weekend so decided to work (remotely from bed) on the Monday but it completely wiped me out so had to take Tuesday off. Started feeling better from Wednesday onwards. A few weeks ago now and no lingering symptoms except possible mild brain fog (difficultly thinking of words, etc, but that could also be age).

I had it for the first time last month. Not overweight, but I slept a lot, had a sore throat & cough. I’m triple jabbed & late 40s.

hellcatspangle · 20/03/2022 08:14

Same symptoms as you, and they didn't get any worse. Mild head cold for a few days.

InFiveMins · 20/03/2022 08:17

I'm overweight and have had it within the last month. Nose felt congested and had a sore throat and a cough. Had a bit of a headache too. Worst day was day 3.

Hmmmm21 · 20/03/2022 08:20

Tested positive 4 days ago, only symptom is head cold, woke up this morning (day 4) and my nose is clear. Felt good the whole time, no loss in energy or anything. Fully vaccinated and boosted and in my late 30s. I'm also overweight. This is my first time getting it

crochetmylifeaway · 20/03/2022 08:21

My 4 year old took it home from nursery. He had a fever and was very lethargic. I felt unwell the day after he tested positive but it wasn't until 2 days after that I tested positive (he tested Thursday I got a positive on Sunday).

I had a high temperature and nasty cough. Felt really rough. Like a bad cold or mild flu. Monday and Tuesday I was barely able to move. I showered then had to go back to bed and sleep. This was 3 weeks ago and only now do I feel almost back to normal. I ended up with a chest infection too so that hasn't helped.

Hope you feel better soon.

Had it a couple of weeks ago. Sneezing, streaming and congested, but that was it. Tested negative on day 7. Never had any loss of energy (but I also took it fairly easy as didn't want to risk making it worse). Rest of the family had colds, same symptoms but never tested positive- I had assumed I had the same, but then heard of a few cases at work hence tested.

Am triple jabbed, first time getting it, 47, but not overweight.

myanonname · 20/03/2022 08:41

Thank you all :) I have health anxiety anyway so I'm just really scared of getting very ill but I need to remind myself that it's rife and most people are fine with it.

I'm triple jabbed, 34 but very overweight. Also have factor v Leiden so I worry about clots etc

Hopefully it won't be too bad x

I'm diabetic, so ex clinically vulnerable and when my DS came home with it I was mortified. But 3 vaccines in and we both had symptons that were less severe than flu.
Headache lhs of head over eye and sore throat but no loss of voice, taste or smell. Paracetamol dinted headache and reduced sire throat but they didn't fully go away for 5 days.
I felt congested but no cough or runny nose - really odd.

The worst sympton was how tired I felt. My son spent 2 days in bed, I didn't need to. He was well after day 3, though. Day 4 he tested negative and by day 5 with 2 negative lfts he was out and about.

I didnt test negative until day 6.

Worst day - I didn't have one. It was fully affecting me from day 2 and stayed that way to day 4. Day 5 I started to feel better.

I am overweight, so hope you're like me or better.
