Out of isolation nervous about going out !

So have now had 3 negative in a row day 5, 6 and 7 and had very few/ no symptoms with covid but tested positive on random test for work. I went back to work yesterday - I was so nervous even though I had followed all the guidelines and isolated as soon as I got a positive. I’m due to go on a date with husband to local pub tonight - all seated not a busy rammed pub ! As he’s going away for a few days she we haven’t really seen each other (he was sofa sleeping) ! But I feel so anxious about it - rationally I’m negative for sure (3 days of negative tests) it’s not a rammed standing style badly ventilated place and I can walk there ! Should I go ? Want to go but equally need to dj the right thing - be kind please

Where are you?
You do realise that in some countries (England) there is no self isolation anyome.

I think you need to relax.

I’m in london ! I know it’s irrational and madness but I have a bit of ocd and fear of doing the wrong thing - asking for reassurance is the wrong thing to do I know !

I mean this kindly, GO! You've done exactly the right thing and now you can get back out and do something fun. Enjoy Smile

BergamotandLime · 18/03/2022 18:17

Absolutely go. You've isolated for the right amount of time and you have a negative test.

TalkToTheHand123 · 18/03/2022 18:22

If you've recently had it, then this is the best time to go, better than if tou've never had it before or for a long time Shirly.

Unsureaboutit9 · 18/03/2022 18:26

Yep deff a little irrational OP, you don’t have covid anymore, move on from it! Even when isolation rules were still in place you Haven't had to isolate at this point for a while. Your tests are negative, you’d be daft to stay in. Go out and enjoy yourself OP, you’re probably the least risky person in the place tonight.

SpringRainbow · 18/03/2022 18:29

You have done the right thing, of course you can now go out.

Enjoy yourself.

Thanks folks - off for a pint 😋

It’s unlikely you’ll still be infectious, some countries say 14 days isolation though so maybe you can. Would think not if you’re getting negative tests but I don’t know the science

Duracellbunnywannabe · 18/03/2022 18:33

What are the current guidelines? I’m sure it’s just to avoid people who are EVC until after day 10.

Wordlewobble · 18/03/2022 18:43

Its basically moral guidance. Like OP has rightly done.

Something like to say stay in and away from people if you test positive until two negative consecutive tests (24 hrs apart) on day 6 and 7. If not stay in for 10 days and even if you test negative avoid anyone CEV for 10 days.

Someone at DD’s school knowing full well they were positive went into school at the end of last week. They have spread covid around the school to many teachers and students. One year group has closed completely yesterday, mask wearing is being reimplemented and the school will be lucky if it stays open and doesn’t close which is great for the year 13 and year 11’s not. A few other schools around here have already had to close due to the selfish and stupid for which their is no vaccine for.
Enjoy your night out OP and well done for doing the right thing.

Go.

Anyone who is super worried about catching it won’t be at the pub.
