I'm fully vaccinated. Had my booster in November.
I had a close contact last week. We maintained social distancing and our contact was only really in passing. She had cold like symptoms last week and had a faint positive at home.
I had a sore throat since Tuesday night. My temperature was boderline fever last night 37.9. Developed a mild cough last night. Feels like phelym dripping.
I'm testing negative at home. This is so weird because I wasn't doing any major mixing like going on public transport or going to town or going out to restaurants or pubs. My work was very busy over the past few weeks so I had little time to do anything nice for myself. My contacts were low. I wasn't around anyone else sick or with colds. I was exposed to covid last week and here I am with symptoms but I am testing negative. I am isolating anyways in order not to pass it on. I was told that it can take days to test positive on the home tests. Is this true? I was testing every day since Tuesday. Tuesday night, wed, Thurs morning and this morning.
I'm nearly ready to give up testing at this stage.
