So my husband and 3 year old daughter tested positive on LFT on Wednesday, we had been on close contact on Sunday with someone who has it! I'm still testing negative, though since last night have a sore throat and a cough, but negative on LFT. What are the chances that I will eventually test positive? And is it worth a PCR? We are all isolating anyway

It took me till 4 days after my DH and DS tested positive, but had similiar symptoms so presumed I had it.

When you did LFT, did you swab your throat?

It does sound as if you may have it but hopefully it's just a very mild case.

I did get a positive when I had it, but only when I swabbed throat. I know if other friends who always tested negative even though they had very minor symptoms.

I am suspecting I may have it again as I feel quite tired and think I may be coming down with a cold (it is in house). But still negative.

Are you vaccinated?

Lots of people I know didn't catch it from positive family members. I didn't even catch it after sharing a bed with positive partner for a week!

Thanks everyone, I now have a fever too, so looking more likely I'm gonna get it! I am fully vaccinated I was shielding during some of the pandemic so am slightly nervous about getting it!
