So my son tested positive Tuesday, both my DH and I are positive too. He’s been complaining of a headache, he’s coughing and although he’s been hot, the thermometer hasn’t said he’s got a temp. He has really bloody shot eyes though. Just wondering if this is normal? I’ve read about Kawasaki disease and it’s worrying me. He doesn’t have any of the other symptoms though and other than a bit grumpy is seemingly ok in himself and hyper most of the time, eating, drinking etc.

Anyone else have this?

If he’s coughing that can cause the blood shot eyes, but I do remember reading that eye problems were a symptom in kids.
If you’re concerned you should ring for advice though

Yes I thought coughing probably isn’t helping! They look pink today like when you’ve got conjunctivitis and I know that’s related so maybe it’s that? This virus really is the gift that keeps on giving!

My eyes were terrible when I had covid - really swollen and gunky. It is one of the listed symptoms online.

Viral conjunctivitis is one of the symptoms listed, I had it. If you have any camomile tea in its very soothing if it's bothering him. I used to use it when mine were little. Allow to cool, use clean piece of cotton wool for each wipe, from inner to outer eye then throw each piece away👍

Thank you! It went as quickly as it came!
