Hey all

Has anyone else suffered from all symptoms of covid, including loss of taste and smell and is still testing negative on LFT's and PCR? I swear I have it again (been poorly for nearly two weeks now, last week had high temp for days, coughing so much its hurts my head, yesterday lost smell and taste again), but it's not coming up on any tests.

Back in October we had the supposed delta variant (we think at least), I was really poorly for a week, no smell and taste etc. My OH then tested pos again in January and we think it was omicron as he only had cold symptoms, I also felt poorly but was neg. And now this, poorly, classic covid symptoms and still neg...

Is this what they call long covid?

Thanks all!! Daffodil

My daughter is currently at home and is Covid positive. I have the worse sore throat/tonsils and cough but continuously testing negative although same symptoms. Had PCR this morning to see if it is positive!! Not even a faint line.

I had covid in October 2020 and whenever I have had a cold since it feels like it reactivates the covid symptoms. My taste and smell deteriorates again and I get the heavy feeling back in my chest.

DH and myself have had symptoms since last weekend but constantly test negative. DD and DS showed symptoms on Tuesday but only DD1 positive. DS still negative even though he is very unwell and has lots of covid symptoms . Now DD2 also positive but so far myself DH and DS are negative even though the three of us have been the most unwell

I reckon the tests don’t pick up the current variants as my DD and DH seem to have covid and I’ve just started with symptoms. My DD started two days after close contact with 2 family members who (unbeknownst to me) were living with a covid positive person temporarily. She’s been off school but went in briefly before I realised she was sick - now at least 4 people in her class had covid 😳. I hope it’s not her/us spreading it around but nonetheless of us are testing positive despite such close contact/symptoms etc
