Toddler with covid foot?

My 2 yo tested positive a couple of days ago and thankfully now seems to be over the worst of it. Then today started complaining of sore feet, not wanting to walk on them or let me touch.

Both feet were very red and sore, on and off, with ‘bite’ type marks of varying sizes. After submitting photos to the GP they wanted to see her. However before we got the the appointment, a dose of nurofen (which I was alternating with calpol for her temperature) seemed to help her feet. The rash has totally gone! The GP was happy to cancel but will obviously see her should it return.

Has anyone experienced this?

Yes, my son (teenager) had it right at the beginning of Covid and nobody knew what it was. Had antibiotics which didn't work of course. Then as time went by, it was clear it was Covid Toe...he's had it again since and also had the real Covid! It lasted about 2 weeks both times and went away.

How strange! The dr said she hadn’t seen it over the foot before but it was definitely linked. Was your son’s constantly there over the two weeks or did it come and go? My daughter’s started last night l, disappeared, back badly late morning but has gone again.
