Had the worst symptoms, sickness, debilitating headaches, fevers, and the rest (but thankfully not too bad cough side of things).

However, it's been a week, headaches are better, feel dizzy at times, but the back pain and leg pain is still horrid. I want to be be better and do things, but If I don't continue painkillers during the day and night I'm struggling. The cough isn't bothering me as much as this pain and feeling of general weakness and fatigue.

Starting to feel down, and I don't want to feel down in the dumps Sad

Anyone else in the same boat? Anyone been through the same?

Yeah, I was unwell for a fortnight and that is pretty normal. Then a few weeks getting back to normal. Unwell after a week is totally normal! Rest as much as possible, get well soon!

I was off work 6 weeks, it takes a while unfortunately.

Thank you for the replies. 6 weeks sounds like a long time 😢 how did you cope?

I've had to get a lot more painkillers...don't want to overdo it but seems only way :/

I was about 6 weeks pregnant when I had it. I felt really, really rough from day 2-9. Then for about three weeks after I felt exhausted but I’m sure sure how much was down to COVID and how much was down to pregnancy. It does seem to have had a mild long term effect on me (two months later). I had to wear a face mask in soma areas at work until last week and I really struggled with it, I could barely breathe! In my last pregnancy in the height of summer and COVID, I wore masks everywhere with no problem!

Hope you feel better soon x

I have it now and my god the back pain is by far the worst part.. it's crippling.. max paracetamol and a wheat bag takes the edge off but not slept in 3 days :(

This Tuesday my husband tested positive. His symptoms started on Sunday. I tested positive on Wednesday after my symptoms started on Tuesday. Our 2 year old has temperature since Tuesday evening. She had a high temperature (39.2) for 2 days. She was perfectly fine on Thursday. Her temperature is now on and off since Yesterday. We took her to ER on Wednesday as per GP advice and the doctor assured us she doesn’t have any chest infection. I am really worried as she has on and off high temperature. Could someone please tell how you dealt with that?

SweetsAndChocolates · 13/03/2022 12:21

@AnImposter I hear you. The first 3/4 days it was debilitating headaches and now it's this horrific back pain.
I'm hoping a few more days and it'll go Sad

@Dakmom sorry to hear your dc is so unwell.
I had on and off high temp fevers first few days.
As you're talking about a child I can't offer any useful information, but think you should contact doctors again (if in uk call nhs direct).

Yes we are planning to take her to ER if she has high temperature again. I feel so bad as I thought kids get only mild symptoms whereas my girl is very unwell.
