My baby & COVID

Husband and I both tested positive on Tuesday and Wednesday.

I didn't get jabbed until post birth for personal reasons and only breastfed for 3 weeks, again for personal reasons.

Baby is 16 weeks and we've been unsuccessful in testing him but assume that he must also be positive as he's been in the presence of my husband and I.

Baby has been acting totally normal - happy, wet nappies, dirty nappies etc, however today he has had a lot of naps, definitely more than usual but equally seems exceptionally content. If I was able to play with him I can tell he'd be up for it. He hasn't cried at all.

What do you think is going on/happening?

Baby might have it and be tired. I know lots and lots of 3-5 year old who’ve cleared it v v quickly (1-2 days), and a couple of babies who’ve had no ill effects

Obviously it’s a baby so keep an eye out for any concerns as things can change but if he seems happy he probably is

I had it recently and so did my baby, positive LFT. He had one very grumpy/clingy day and then he was pretty much fine. Still a bit tired and off his food, but otherwise grand.

My DS tested strongly positive by inserting the swab just inside his nose. You could try that?

My little boy was super congested for a few days but was absolutely fine after! Me on the other hand .... blimey it knocked me for six! I wasn't jabbed during pregnancy either, my partner has had all 3 and was as equally poorly as me.
