Does it get worse... and worse again before it gets better?

I tested positive on Tuesday but was feeling a bit run down from Sunday so two questions:

1. Am I day 2 or day 3 if I tested positive on Tuesday?

1. I currently feel like I've got a super bad cold but one that isn't subsiding, will my symptoms get worse before it gets better or will it stay this way now until it starts to get better?

1. Did you test on Sunday or Monday? For isolation purposes I think you are on day 3 but is it critical?

1. As you’ve been ill probably since Sunday or so you are probably in the thick of it. I’m around day 7/8, first 2-3 days after positive test were worst and now slowly improving. I think that’s pretty typical

Several friends have had it recently with similar experiences, and testing positive for 10-12 days (but feeling better toward end of that period)
