… what symptoms do you have?

I’m on day 3 and have had none of the three official symptoms, but muscle aches, fatigue and bizarrely, excessive thirst yesterday and then today a really dodgy stomach, mild sore throat and classic cold symptoms (sneezing, snotty etc).

Anyone have the same? Other than the sore throat, it doesn’t seem like it matches what I’ve read are typical Omicron symptoms, let alone Delta x

Awful muscle aches
Mild fever (38)
Mild sore throat
Runny nose and associated head congestion issues - bunged up ears
General fatigue

I’m day 6 and have had a cough the whole way through, fatigue, nausea and stomach pain, plus all the classic cold symptoms such as sneezing and runny nose

Bickles · 07/03/2022 17:22

Second dose of Covid, had Alpha in May.
Treble jabbed.
Tired, slight headache, scratchy throat, snotty/ sneezing. Same as Alpha so far but I did get a cough and lose taste later on last time.

insatiableme · 07/03/2022 18:08

Mine started with a sore throat. But not the usual sore throat where it hurts to swallow. It just felt different. So Tested Saturday morning negative, tested Saturday night and I was positive. my throat has just got worse. A slight cough and a upset stomach today. I've got a big bottle of water beside my bed and I just keeping sipping it so I don't get dehydrated.

insatiableme · 07/03/2022 18:09

Oh and snotty today! Keep hoping for a miracle and will wake up tomorrow symptom free lol

tapdancingmum · 07/03/2022 18:34

I've had an outbreak at my preschool and started feeling a bit off Friday night and started coughing. I did a lateral flow Saturday morning which was negative but I had a PCR knocking around so I decided to do it and send it off. Coughed nearly all of Saturday so decided to try another lateral flow which was positive - faint but positive 😱. My PCR cam back Sunday morning as positive so here I am.

My main symptoms have been like flu but as somebody else has said I ache. My hips hurt and my jaw was hurting. The cough seems to have gone now and I'm left with a cracking headache that tablets just don't seem to touch, bunged up nose and feel sinusy, ribs ache from all the coughing and tiredness.

If it wasn't the fact that the children had tested positive and I had the cough I don't think I would've tested myself. But, I don't feel well enough to go to work at the moment so let's see what Wednesday morning brings for my day 4 test.

Hope everyone else doesn't get it too badly.

LightSpeeds · 07/03/2022 20:01

I've just come down with it and have runny nose, bit of a cough, headache, achey limbs, fever (103 degrees earlier and I felt awful).

Has anyone got a fast heart rate??

I'm sitting down eating chocolate doing nothing and my iWatch just pinged and told me my heart rate is over a 100!

RollneckJumper · 08/03/2022 23:11

I haven't had a positive test (yet), but I'm pretty confident it won't be long until I get a positive result...

Had a sore throat about a week ago (no cough). That subsided and then came a blocked/stuffy nose. I've been sneezing a lot these past few days.
I woke up in the early hours of this morning with chills/shivers. I could not warm myself up.. yet, my skin was hot to the touch. My head was pounding and my body was aching all over. Got up to do a LFT and had to lay down on the hallway floor as I felt like I was going to pass out. I was surprised to see my LFT was negative. I took some paracetamol and went back to bed. Woke up a few hours later and the headache was milder, I no longer have chills and I now only ache across the upper part of my back, my shoulders and neck, my lower back, my legs and my upper arms. I've taken two further LFTs today and they too were negative. I have also sent off a PCR... hoping to get the results tomorrow. Fully expecting a positive result. Until then, I am isolating from my family, just to be on the safe side. Will post an update once I get my PCR result.

Has anyone else had nightmares?

I have had the most dreadful dreams the last couple of nights to the extent I have woken myself up with fright and have had to put the light on.

Sunflowersinthewind · 09/03/2022 02:31

My son had bad nightmares. Woke up completely terrified. I have woken up in pain all over again and can't sleep. I wish I could just sleep through. I'm sure I would feel better if I could. Just taken an ibuprofen which I hate doing in order to get on top of pain

icklepiglet · 09/03/2022 03:57

I tested positive on Monday but recognising possible symptoms from Friday onwards with hindsight: backache/diarrhoea on Fri/Sat, slightly stuffy nose/scratchy throat from Sat but both worse on Monday, headache Sun/Mon, slight temp Mon/Tue. No real respiratory symptoms which was my fear as an asthmatic. I'm now wide awake in the early hours for some reason but feel quite well and temp normal, so hope I'm over the worst.

stealthbanana · 09/03/2022 05:42

Tested positive on Monday. Have had hideous muscle & joint pain - really awful. But no fever or cough or cold. Super tired as well.

MrsSnoops · 09/03/2022 07:25

We all had bad dreams as it was coming on yes.

marykitty · 09/03/2022 07:50

Day 7 now, 3x jab

Started with fever, chills and lot of sweating, mild cough. Felt better on day 4. Day 5 intense diarrhea and vomiting, ended up at Emergency for IV infusions because dehydrated.
Day 6 better, no vomit, very mild diarrhea
Day 7 bad again with diarrhea and fatigue.

Why????

parrotonmyshoulder · 09/03/2022 15:04

Marykitty - that sounds awful!

Melroses · 09/03/2022 17:17

Day 7 here.

Day 1 burning sore throat brewing and sore swollen tongue. -ve test.
Day 2 Snuffly, burning throat, sinuses bunged, trouble sleeping and breathing so got up early. +ve test.
Day 3 More of above after little sleep. Aching limbs and joints and teeth. Mild temperature. Feeling best about lunchtime.
Day 4 Woke up with less of a temp but worse throat. Much better by lunch time.
Day 5 Good night's sleep, no temp but tired all day.
Day 6 Feeling much better, though waking up sweaty. Cough worse. Lateral flow test showing its line straight away :(
Day 7 Good night's sleep between coughing. Isolating but pottering around cleaning stuff.

loveliesbleeding1 · 10/03/2022 20:40

Tested positive today after 3 days of sore throat, runny nose and chesty cough.
Throat is incredibly painful at the moment and my voice has almost gone.

Stringervest · 10/03/2022 20:45

Day 0: back ache for 1 day
Day 3: one blocked nostril for a morning
Day 8-9: insomnia, headache, brain fog and fatigue (all fairly mild)

JamMakingWannaBe · 10/03/2022 20:55

I'm on Day 13 and I still have a sore throat. I don't have fatigue, but I do get an "after exercise" muscle type ache if I do too much.

StElwicks · 10/03/2022 21:35

I am on day two, I initially thought I’d overdone it the night before catching up with friends, but had not drunk that much. I woke up with a searing headache and was sick, as day went on chills, then sweating, irritating cough, sinus pain. It was slightly better this afternoon but I feel cold and achey again. It sort of comes in waves of symptoms which retreat and then come back.

Krabby · 10/03/2022 21:41

DS is 15 and on day 3 of covid.

He says it's like a bad cold - snotty, bit of a dry cough, tired, feels grotty.

He's had worse colds tbh.

4 of his mates also have covid and they all have the same symptoms - all well enough to play fifa and tell at each other down the Xbox whilst they're off school though!!

Babycakes321 · 13/03/2022 22:16

I'm day 3 positive
It has been absolutely awful 😖

Started off on Wednesday - sore throat and extreme dizziness & brain fog. Thought nothing of it.

Thursday - sore throat again but feeling generally fine until around 3pm I started to get a high fever of around 38.9 and a dry cough.
Tested LFT - negative

Friday - had the worst night, fever, chills and feeling unwell
Tested LFT - Positive within seconds

Saturday - I honestly thought I'd never get better, the fever was high allllll day. Not even paracetamol would help. In and out of sleep. Muscle ache, headache, no sore throat. Wet cough.

Sunday - headache, no fever, back pain severe , eye pain and extreme fatigue. No sore throat. Bunged up nose and bad cough

Feeling like it's getting easier but I can't do too much like today I cleaned My place and it knocked me for six. Even having a shower I need 2hours to recover lol

ThePrincessSleptFor100Years · 13/03/2022 22:19

Whoever said covid was a dry cough was lying as far as I’m concerned. I feel like I’m drowning in my own mucus 😂

MissWired · 13/03/2022 22:27

Been feeling knackered for over a week now but put it down to toothache.

Started with a slight sore throat / headache yesterday at work then nearly fainted in the office. Felt a bit better today but have now started with full on cold symptoms. Surprised to see positive test as no fever or cough.

The worst thing for me is raging sinus pain which is causing toothache in ALL my teeth now. Slight loss of taste and smell but no more so than with other colds I've had.heafache

Urgh....
