Cold symptoms day after getting out of isolation

Hello to anyone who can be bothered to read this.
I've just completed full 10 days isolation (was testing positive right through). Day 11 felt fine, went out and today (day 12) I have developed cold symptoms. Nose streaming, slight cough, raised glands in neck. I didn't really have a runny nose or congestion with covid.
I know no one can actually tell me if I've caught a cold but I was wondering if anyone has experienced this as an after effect of covid or have I managed to catch a cold after 1 day out (wearing a mask, I might add)? Would be typical me!

I managed to catch a cold from my daughter just after covid. She’d tested negative on ltfs all month and had negative pcr so we knew she had a cold not covid. I think covid just left me so run down that I picked that up too.

Could just be your immune system is low, so you’ve picked up a cold, or last of covid symptoms coming out.

My Ds started with a temp, I think day 12 went on to develop ear infection. GP said it was a secondary infection to covid . Covid infection had not cleared out of tubes completely, hung around gathering bacteria then found nearest exit through ear .

Sounds a lot like my current covid symptoms. They go on a bit past the 10 days it seems.

Thanks so much to everyone for answering, really appreciate it.
I'm just feeling sorry for myself as I thought I was better (wasn't seriously ill with covid but felt rubbish enough) and now feel a bit grotty again.
Off to make some lemon and honey and try to get rid of this before work on Mon.
Thanks again all.

It sound to me like you still have covid? You know, regardless of what is changing, I think you need to look after yourself. There are some nasty post (?) covid infections out there. if you are sick you are sick.

I've had sinus and cold like symptoms for 3 months since covid as some kind of long covid thing! What were your covid symptoms? Were they cold like? Is the symptoms just lingering or new? Sometimes symptoms can linger for ages!

I had a cough for the first four days or so but my main symptoms were being freezing cold, vertigo with nausea and fatigue.
The cough and runny nose came on suddenly on day 12. I still have vertigo, nausea and fatigue.
I feel like a complete fraud as a family member who had covid at the same time was on the shielding list during the first lockdown and they seem to have come through it more easily than me (reasonably fit and early 40s).
So sorry for those of you who are still experiencing symptoms. Hope you improve soon.
