Lost senses of smell and taste

How did you deal with the misery created by not being able to smell or taste?

Only a week in but its miserable and finding it very hard to think that this might go on for weeks or more.

General fatigue and headaches, no cough but literally can't taste a thing and I love food.

I found out i had covid last Saturday, 8 days later I'm still positive. 3 days into having little smell or taste. I've been smell training and sniffing strong things every day to try and help. I've also opted for spicy food or crunchy just to make it a bit interesting.

I currently have covid infection- 6 days in.

Lost my sense of smell/ taste yesterday. It's such an odd sensation. I've had no appetite anyway but this doesn't help. Just hope I don't start smelling 'bad' things as some people described, rotting meat n the like Sad

This time around, I had very little appetite but didn't actually lose mine. The first time I had Covid I lost it for about 4 days and that was so strange.

Mine came back after about 3 weeks.

I went with textures - unfortunately there are things that I used to love the taste of but I now know have an unfortunate texture combination.
