Covid - anyone noticed similarities to Glandular Fever?

I’m on day 7 and still testing positive. Was chatting with my mum on the phone yesterday and was telling her that it hadn’t felt like a cold or flu, much more like when I had glandular fever. I was 15, had a term off school and then had ME / post viral syndrome.

Has anyone else noticed similarities?

Errrm, they are both post-viral syndrome.

Yes I know. Same thing labelled differently which is why I said ME / post viral, not ME and post viral.

Yes. My mother had ME donkeys years ago and DP has Long Covid. Very similar indeed esp the fatigue. Only difference is breathlessness and difficulty breathing as well as aches and pains with LC.

Yes the fatigue for me feels the same

I saw something online about it maybe triggering mono symptoms if you had mono previously. I was interested as I had post viral symptoms with mono for a long time (did they ever go away?). But for me it didn’t trigger them when I eventually got it (thankfully, so far).

Day 10 today and feeling the fatigue.

@Sandyjag I don’t think it ever really went away. There are times when fatigue and sore throats don’t bother me at all, but then other times I’m totally floored by it…
