When travel possible after positive lft (pic attached)?

This is DS lft from this morning... He has had a scratchy throat, runny nose and has been feeling achy for two days. Lfts have been negative up until now. I am pretty sure it is a faint positive (correct me if I am wrong!!). DS was due to travel by plane to Germany at the weekend. What are the guidelines? Providing he feels fit and well, what is the earliest possible date he could travel and what are the requirements for this? Thanks!

@Watapalava

Yes i see

Do you know teens have to isolate even with negative test? He can d a test to release on day 5 otherwise its 10 days. I presume he must be visiting family rather than holiday.

Even with a negative test, I think he has Covid as he had a positive lft... So he should isolate. Just checked with Germany and with Omicron their rules now are test to release after 7 days, 10 days if no test. So considering he feels better and tests negative, he could fly mid next week. Yes, he is visiting family. So he is exempt from quarantining when arriving in Germany. :-)

@Watapalava

(unless hes double vax)

Do check with airline tho - as part of check in procedure he will have to declare almost definitely that he hasn't had covid or been around anyone for 2 weeks. Negative test wont omit you from this.

So by all means do the pre flight test but if you plan on him travelling within 14 days if it's negative, do not report that lft positive as it'll be fraud as you'd have to lie and there'd be evidence you have lied (if you see what i mean!)

Yeah, I know what you mean! That is why he has done the pre flight test anyway (in the hope that it will be negative).
