Just that really.
How long between being exposed and beginning symptoms?

DH had it October 2020. No isolating from each other, before any of us had jabs. Nobody else in the house caught it and hasn't still from any contact that has tested positive.

Aurorie11 · 12/02/2022 08:17

3 days after my daughter

Ridiculousradish · 12/02/2022 08:20

Never did. DS 12 had it late year, isolated with him for 10 days, didn't catch it.
No vaccines for either of us.

EricScrantona · 12/02/2022 08:20

DH had it recently. Carried on reasonably as normal in that we wouldn't scrub the door handles, sat in the same room and used same toilets. No one else caught it. DC and I both felt sick/dodgy stomach and headache one night (me before and them after DH tested) but we tested negative throughout.

EricScrantona · 12/02/2022 08:21

No vaccines for either of us.

jacqelinedaniels · 12/02/2022 09:25

I tested positive this morning, two days after ds.

TheKeatingFive · 12/02/2022 09:36

6 days 😫

GeneLovesJezebel · 12/02/2022 09:37

DS had positive test 3 days after DH came out of isolation , but was still testing very positive.

NotVeryChattySchoolMum · 12/02/2022 09:40

My DH got sick 1 day after my DD7...

I got sick on day 3 and my two other kids followed on day 4.

stayingaliveisawayoflife · 12/02/2022 09:48

My husband got it four days after me. We live in a very small house!

TheLadyGrayson · 12/02/2022 09:50

My isolation ended last Sunday and my other half never got it 🤷‍♀️ We shared a bed the entire time and made no effort to distance in the house.

SD1978 · 12/02/2022 09:55

2 days after child had symptoms, positive on PCR.

theDudesmummy · 12/02/2022 09:57

Seven days after my DS tested positive

OwlNoisesInHerFace · 12/02/2022 10:09

My daughter had it three weeks ago. I then tested positive on her day 9, but neither my husband or our other child tested positive through either of our isolation periods. And we have a small house, so didn't really make much effort to stay away from each other.

tiramisualwaystiramisu · 12/02/2022 10:12

DH and both DCs all tested positive within 48 hours of each other, I never caught it. I'd had my 3rd vaccine 2 weeks before they tested positive, DH slept in the spare room for 10 days and kept his distance from me - I'm CEV. I had to juggle work around quarantine the kids who spent 10 days bouncing off each other (and me) with no symptoms. Still no idea how I managed to escape - I tested negative 14 days in a row

Jules912 · 12/02/2022 10:13

We didn't off 6 year old DD. No I've no idea how we all avoided it given we made no attempt to stay apart from her. DH and I have had our boosters but DS is too young to be vaccinated.

SueGray · 12/02/2022 10:42

Both dc had COVID at the end of October 2021. Neither dh or I caught it. Ds tested positive last week, I was positive 3 days later and dh 5 days after me. Dd is still testing negative. She’s been testing daily for about 3 weeks now as she was a close contact at school before the household cases.

FluffyFlower · 12/02/2022 11:02

With omicron now, tested positive a day after symptoms started and a day after the first family member tested positive, who had symptoms for two days before testing positive, and probably another 2-3 after their exposure.

Bluebellbike · 12/02/2022 11:02

Despite working in care until August 21, and being in contact with clients and colleagues who had it, I didn't catch it until 30th December 2021. I started symptoms 3 days after DS, who I had spent Christmas with. I am triple vaccinated (Jan 21, April 21 and booster September 21). For DS it was his second time. He was unvaccunated until just before Christmas when he had his first vaccination. I was not very ill with it. It was more like a heavy cold. DS was more ill than me.

ditalini · 12/02/2022 11:21

Dh had symptoms and a positive test 4 days after ds2 tested positive (asymptomatic so presumably infectious for a while before that).

Dh & I didn't attempt to distance as I work from home anyway, we don't have a spare room and I didn't fancy our decrepit couch for a week but I didn't catch it. Neither did ds1.

So out of a family of 4 in frequent close contact, 1 infection. I feel quite lucky.

When ds1 had Alpha or Delta last year none ofnus caught it in the same circumstances.

Ilovechocolatetoomuch · 12/02/2022 12:56

I tested positive this a.m my ds tested positive on Thurs afternoon so less than 48 hours for us. My DH and other Ds still negative.

BethDutton · 12/02/2022 13:04

DS did a test on a Monday because he felt dreadful and it was a very strong positive, I felt dreadful on Wednesday but didn’t test positive until Saturday (I am bad at swabbing my tonsils, gag a lot and sometimes can’t do them at all). DH still hasn’t got it 13 days later, despite us sharing a bed, sitting on the sofa etc.

WellThatsATurnipForTheBooks · 12/02/2022 13:13

A week between DP and me, and then another week before DS tested positive.

We didn't isolate from each other as we felt that there was no point as we'd shared car journeys, rooms, bathrooms etc before DP tested positive.

(all vaccinated)

ThePug · 12/02/2022 13:24

DS2 (age 3) caught it from a party we were all at in November. On his Day 11, DH tested positive (but had had symptoms from day 9). DS1 (age 5) not I caught it. Then round two - DS1 had a positive test last Saturday, presumably caught it at school. I got a positive on Monday. DH & DS2 still negative- I'll go nuts if they test positive next week as we've had to move DS1s party from tomorrow to next Friday as he's still testing positive (day 8 today), as am I.

JustDanceAddict · 12/02/2022 18:44

I didn’t catch it from dh, and nor did ds.
We were amazed!
