Anyone feeling low with covid?

I'm ok, but have been feeling a bit low the last couple of days. Luckily I can pinpoint a few reasons (rather than being down for no known reason):

  1. Day 8 - still testing positive with bright line, so doubt it'll be negative days 9 and 10
  1. DH gone back to work. Normally I'd be more than happy on my own reading, doing research on our favourite sport, jigsaws.
  1. Had to cancel last weekend's break - somewhere we've been trying to get back to for ages and had a log cabin in prime location on site
  1. Slightest chance I'm negative Sunday am, I can go back to work. I know I'm now allowed but went for a walk down the road earlier (you rarely see anyone) to build myself back up as job physical alongside lots of talking. I was surprisingly breathless - mentally it'd be good to get back to work, physically I need to build myself up and can't.
  1. Meant to be going out tonight with friends. We haven't all got together since August as someone has covid/has had close contact and we won't risk giving it to eachother.

Anyone else? Any particular reason or just low with it?

Obviously not if you’re still ill, but once you get to 10 days it’s doesn’t matter if you’re still testing positive, isolation ends.

Not really what you asked I know, but for point 1 it doesn’t actually matter now you’re on day 8. You’ll end isolation in day 10 regardless.

Thanks. You're probably right, I need to focus on that. I should be grateful as well, DH should be home 2-3 hours and has weekend. I'm cooking a curry tonight (which is more of a treat meal for us) and he's cooking tomorrow. Wine in fridge, I don't think I'm up to sharing it between us, but maybe a small glass!

Yup it's my second batch of covid and I'm.a mess not showered for a couple of days and I need to

The4ks · 11/02/2022 16:25

Yes me!
Got it for the first time last weekend after first big night out in a long time.
Just pissed off with it really and missing my son who's staying with his dad while I'm ill

mamatoTails · 11/02/2022 16:57

Yep, I'm positive, day 3. DS positive, day 5 he's a lot better.
4 other kids at home under 9. Live abroad and all kids have to isolate as unvaccinated contacts. Going out my mind!! Trying to help them with their school work (in another language- you just think you are doing well in the language and then get a topic you know nothing about!)
Little ones running wild as so bored and need to burn off some proper energy!!!
DH still able to work, walk the dog, do everything normally! So jealous!!
No chance of resting, house constantly looks like a bomb site no matter how much I'm trying to tidy!

Joining the fed up club. Day 2 of testing positive. Separated from cheating ex in July 2021. He has purchased 1 yr old and 3yr old at the moment. We've extended dthe time they're with him so they don't come back to me being ill or potentially getting ill themselves. But I'm just home alone, feeling sorry for myself and missing my kids. Can't comfort eat as can't bloody taste anything! Can't go to my parents who are my biggest support system. Can't work as I have a crazy headache.

Anyone happy to find this thread I can moan on. Haha hope we all feel better soon.

Cactuslove · 11/02/2022 17:02

Purchased?!?! What? I meant contact time hahaha

Tigerblue · 11/02/2022 17:04

Theunamedcat is it worse than last time? Either way, you don't sound good.

The4ks it isn't just being ill is it? It's the impact on others areas of your life.

mamatoTails that sounds hard. I know we're all different, but I found it hard to function the first few days, let along look after children.

Cactuslove - I'd like to say welcome, but I'm sure you don't really want to be part of the club.

Day 9 and completely fed up being stuck in.

Theunamedcat · 11/02/2022 17:33

Last time I forgot my name and couldn't smell or taste this time it's sitting on my chest and sinus like a heavy dog is on my chest my head is killing me but I remember my name! And unlike last time I could get in my car and drive it if I really needed to (my hips hurt too so the clutch would suck) although I won't drive because I can't actually stop coughing right now I might roo jump down the road I only feel like I've been hit by a car last time it was a big truck so I'm guessing my third jab protection kicked in (hollow laugh) >cough cough

Tigerblue · 11/02/2022 19:20

Theunamedcat hope you feel better soon. It's weird how your symptoms are so different this time.

Really hoping we don't get more cases when people don't have to isolate with covid. I know not everyone is bad with it, but no joke if you are. DD is studying abroad, we literally have one window to go and see her, so really hoping neither of us test positive again soon.

Yup I did have a bit of a cough last time that lingered but nothing like this bone deep hack that comes from nowhere and makes my eyes stream

homeappliances · 12/02/2022 08:13

Yes me...up and down for the past 3 and a half weeks. I was extremely low last weekend.
