Thank you for this brilliant news!

DD was in the small number of teens who would be 12 when she travelled, but not old enough to have had both vaccines.

We have a holiday planned with the extended family group for May half term. It was originally planned for 2020 so has already been moved twice!

Glad to hear you’ll be able to go @PineForestsAndSunshine!

Brill news. I don't have a teen but I was concerned they were going to go the other way and say 5+ would need to be vaccinated too!

Mindymomo · 11/02/2022 10:55

Probably too late as so many people have cancelled for half term.

Fantastic news. We have an 11 year old who turns 12 eight days before we are due to travel to Spain in the summer. He will be having the vaccine but it’s not physically possible for him to be fully vaccinated before we travel.

I knew this would happen - so pleased!

I'm not surprised, expect France to reduce restrictions after the Presidential election given the number of tourists who visit the south of France in the summer.

Part of me is pleased that the type of people whose holiday ideas are different from mine (think never speak the local language, expect burger and chips everywhere) will be holidaying this summer nowhere near me.
