Post-Covid rash but just a few spots?

I tested positive for Covid just over 4 weeks ago and it was pretty mild, felt a bit rough and briefly lost sense of smell but nothing dramatic. For the last week I've been getting little spots pop up here and there - two on my knee, then a couple of days later two on my arm, and now one on my foot. They itch when they get hot, but not much the rest of the time. One of them turned into a wee blister like a chicken pox spot, which has now burst and scabbed over, but the rest haven't filled with fluid, they're just bumps. I know papules and vesicles can be a post-Covid thing but all the photos I've seen have more spots clustered together, not just one or two. Has anyone else had a rash like this?

(For context, I'm absolutely petrified of bed bugs - like, I've had to go through OCD-type treatment this past year to be able to stop checking constantly for signs of them when we didn't have any. I was just starting to feel a bit better and this has set me right off, thinking I may have been bitten. I've honestly been sobbing for most of today at the prospect of starting all those checks again.)

Yes! Weirdly enough had a small rash pop up yesterday on my ankle, just a few small itchy bumps. I tested positive about 6 weeks ago. Not sure if it’s connected or not!

allpanicnofuckingdisco · 09/02/2022 21:31

Ah interesting - wonder if it is connected!

I won't be a dick and keep on bumping this, but wondering if anyone else has experienced these isolated itchy bumps before the thread wafts onto the next page. It's absolutely doing my head in, every time I wear shoes the spot on my foot gets furious and itches like a bastard.

Sounds like hives? Hives are pretty common after viral infections (mainly in children but adults get them too).

I had a couple of chicken pox like spots when I had covid

Just 5 or 6 dotted about my body.
They cleared up fairly quickly

Thanks everyone! JS87, I'm pretty hive-ridden at the best of times, they pop up with heat or stress - I'd have written these off as the same but the individual lesions have lasted days and days, whereas a hive on me is gone an hour later (its friends have probably all turned up by then but you know what I mean).

Honestly just needed to hear I wasn't completely mad for thinking it might be Covid related. The phobic bit of my brain wants me to stay up all night hunting for bugs and I just...can't. Thanks all.

I had a rash on my thigh and foot just after (6 weeks ago) and it still flares a little occasionally. Mostly just a few small spots now, sometimes fluidy sometimes not.

MammaYamada · 10/02/2022 22:19

Mine can be a stressy thing so perhaps the worry is making things worse.

I got a little cluster of blisters on my hip post-covid. DS also developed a few dark red spots down one leg after he had it. They looked like they should be poppable, but weren't! Neither of us has had anything like that before or since and I just assumed it was a post viral thing. They came and went pretty quickly.
