Hello,

My oldest will be at home for the rest of this half term as there are too many cases in school (too many teachers isolating) and whole year groups are shutting down. Just wondered how much this was happening to others as have not hears locally that other schools have had to close whole year groups

This isn’t happening in private schools is it?

Having had zero or close to zero cases between March 2020 and Oct 2021, we had a lot in the second half of last term and the first half of this term. But it seems to have completely stopped again now.

2 weeks ago, we had about 80 children and 10 staff off with Covid. Today it's zero - no pupils or staff. I don't know whether it's burned itself out for the short or long term or whether we still have cases but people have stopped testing for it. Whatever the reason we're certainly clear right now.
