Did your tests get progressively lighter until turning negative, or did anymore have a dark line one day and gone the next?

Day 10 is Sunday for me and my daughters birthday party is on Saturday. Today is day 5 and my second line is so dark still Sad

Wondering if we're doomed to cancel or whether there's hope yet.
To complicate things further we need to let the cake supplier know by tomorrow if we do want to postpone.

My dd tested negative days 8+9. Her line was lighter on day 7.

romanziere · 08/02/2022 15:24

I had a dark line on days 5 and 6, a fainter one on day 7, and a very faint one on day 8 (today) so am hoping for a negative tomorrow.

Good luck - I hope it all works out.

Lazypuppy · 08/02/2022 15:26

Mine got lighter, and tested negative after day 5 and 6

Fritilleries · 08/02/2022 15:27

I'm with you on that. I'm on day 6 and it's a bit lighter. I'm so bloody bored at home on my own. I've watched all of Chloe on iplayer.

JemimaTiggywinkle · 08/02/2022 15:28

I don’t know exactly as I only had a very faint line to begin with. I only tested positive for two days (faint lines both days) and then negative again.

So I think the lines do probably get fainter before they go negative… sorry.

littlemermaid33 · 08/02/2022 15:44

Thanks all. Just clutching at straws really. There's 2 of us needing negatives by tomorrow afternoon, but this mornings were still reasonably dark. Sad

I think I'm almost better off postponing now and just putting myself out of this misery

My husbands was dark on day 5. And barely noticeable on day 8 in the morning. Tested again on afternoon of day 8 and the line wasn't there at all.
I'd wait until Thursday if I were you before cancelling anything.

Starlight21 · 08/02/2022 15:49

I'm on day 8, still getting a positive line but do seem to be getting lighter. Initially it was as dark as the top line, but is getting lighter. Husband tested positive same day nd his was is it is it not today.

It's just the cakes. I have twins so am paying for 2 cakes. I can't afford to then pay for 2 more next weekend too 😬

My boys were very dark lines and then lighter until no line. One tested positive for 5 days and the other only 3 days! I tested each day.

ShallWeTalkAboutBruno · 08/02/2022 21:44

Mine was lighter on day 5, very faint on day 6 and gone by day 7.

Pretty sure you can freeze cakes. Or ask them to freeze the cakes and do the icing and decorations next week

Day 7 and now negative. Went out for the first walk in a week today for 5 minutes as was itching with cabin fever. Really dark thick line on day one and by 5 it was lighter until fading.

Whathefisgoingon · 10/02/2022 14:24

Mine was really faint on days 0+1 and now on day 5 it’s the strongest it’s been Sad
