How are you supposed to cancel Covid 2nd jab appointments?

I booked a 2nd jab for DS (14) for this afternoon. However, he's woken up this morning with a headache and sore throat. He's doing a LFT now but at any rate, I'd like to cancel the appointment if he's not feeling well, even if not Covid.

I can't do it though! If I go the the NHS site where I made the appointment and click "manage your appointment" I just get taken to a screen which confirms the details and says to come back tomorrow to cancel and re-book Hmm

Phoning 119 left me going round in circles and eventually ended up with a message saying to go to the website Confused

Has anyone successfully managed to cancel an appointment recently? How?!

You can't cancel at such a late stage, it will just be recorded as a no show and you can rebook. Happened to me, I tested positive the day before my second jab.

You cannot cancel on the day, my Son had to cancel his and rang 119. They said not to worry that he would be able to book another the next day, which he did.

Ugh - I hate being a no show! There's not much more to be done though - I can't do it online and can't speak to an actual person via 119. It would be helpful if they put a note on the site to say it's not possible to cancel on the day
