Really sore, scratchy throat. Progressed into an awful cold; snotty nose and sneezing, headache, absolutely exhausted, felt terrible for about a week then eased off.

Mmmmdanone · 06/02/2022 19:42

Scratchy throat. Didn't get much else but I was so tired.

Moonamoona · 06/02/2022 19:42

Headache and tiredness followed by sore throat. Then cold symptoms (runny nose and sneezing, minimal coughing) headache passed after after a few days but the sore throat, cold symptoms and tiredness have persisted. Symptoms started four days before I tested positive (including PCR on day 2)

Makinglists · 06/02/2022 19:42

Bit of a tickly throat and a thick head - to be honest that was about as bad as it got. Just felt like I was going to go down with something but never did. Possibly a bit tired. I got negative LFT on day 7.

SecretWitch · 06/02/2022 19:42

Exactly the same as @MoonlightFancy. I’m on day 7 and just starting to feel better.

BethDutton · 06/02/2022 19:43

Sore throat. Then general cold symptoms and a tickly cough. A very bad cold.

CandyLeBonBon · 06/02/2022 19:44

Pounding head and start of a sore throat

RogerThatBravoOne · 06/02/2022 19:44

Scratchy throat and general cold symptoms. My kids had temperatures but we al tested negative throughout the week until the weekend. By then I’d got an ear infection, cold symptoms, bad headache and I started coughing the day before the positive tests. Oldest kid was fine after the temp but the baby had and still has a bad cough.

Paperyfish · 06/02/2022 19:44

Sore throat, stuffed up nose, aches, head ache, coughing. Just like a bad cold really. Felt much better by day 6. Completely better by day 9.

RandomDent · 06/02/2022 19:45

Threw up

CovidCorvid · 06/02/2022 19:45

Burning sensation up my nose. Then a slight headache and feeling tired.

HufflepuffPride · 06/02/2022 19:46

Banging headache that kept me awake all night.

CandyLeBonBon · 06/02/2022 19:46

Progressed to tight chest, laboured breathing, gurgling chest/productive cough, razor blade throat and all over aches, temp and horrible fatigue. Ended up going to hospital. Lasted about a week. On the mend now though.

PickAChew · 06/02/2022 19:48

So far, scratchy throat since Friday and a bit of a runny nose. Tested positive, this morning and my fitbit reported an increase in skin temperature. I've felt better, but felt a lot worse. So far...

bhooks · 06/02/2022 19:52

Sudden Abdominal pain and disappearance of any appetite at all.
Then scratchy throat

goingtotown · 06/02/2022 19:53

Nothing after a runny nose for 24 hours.

blackcurrantjam · 06/02/2022 19:53

Fatigue

delilahbucket · 06/02/2022 19:53

Sore throat and fatigue. Progressed to a beyond heavy cold for five days, raging temperature, cough, sneezing, blocked and runny nose (actually slept with a tissue up my nose one night because it was running so bad), insomnia, more fatigue, severe sinus pain for two days, earache, then feeling a bit more human and the following day getting my first negative. Now I'm left with this awful cough and wheezing and I'm tired.

ifonly4 · 06/02/2022 19:54

I had an iffy throat (which isn't uncommon for me, but negative LFT) - now realise this was day 0.

Day 1 - warm at work (everyone else saying the same so I ignored) and realised I was hot and tired walking home. Developed headache and felt a bit sick in evening. LFTs negative am and pm

Day 2 - had an awful night, bad head, feeling a bit sick and absolutely no sleep. LFTS negative am and pm

Day 3 - LFT positive. Headache went.

Days 4-6 , mixture of lethargy, insomnia, tiredness, sore cough, a pathetic cough. I've slept reasonably well the last couple of nights and feel more alert though.

DH -

Day 0 - scratchy throat LFT negative.

Day 1 - went to work, felt like he had a cold coming LFT negative

Day 2 - LFT positive. He came up to tell me (gets up earlier) and looked awful, red eyes, constantly sneezing and coughing for the next few days.

Day 6 - developed very sore throat and ulcers.

Had had insomnia throughout. He says he still feel bad, but has a touch of cabin fever (whereas I have no desire to go out at all).

ifonly4 · 06/02/2022 19:54

sorry, I just realised you only ask first symptom!

Cityzen74 · 06/02/2022 19:56

Feeling tired to my bones one afternoon. That night had an awful sleep and felt a bit fluey so when I tested in the morning I knew it would be positive. Felt unwell for about 3 days and then just tired. Hope you are ok

Oxborn · 06/02/2022 19:56

Nausea and vomiting

QueenOfHiraeth · 06/02/2022 19:57

Backache first then later in the day felt very tired. Woke the next day feeling a bit unwell and wasn't at all surprised when tested positive.
Didn't feel particularly ill for all of first week, cold symptoms including sore throat and cough developed about 7-8 days. Tested positive until day 9 and still have sore throat and cough a week later

playthatviolin · 06/02/2022 19:58

I haven't had it but DH symptoms were - Day 1/2 intermittent mild cough, day 3 stuffy nose, sneezed a few times. Day 4 onwards, over it!

Wnkingawalrus · 06/02/2022 20:02

The second line. That was it really. If I thought really hard I could maybe say I had a very slight scratchy throat for a couple i hours the night before. But nothing more than that.
