DH & DS positive...but not me...

I feel really coldly, with a sore throat and very tired. However I've tested negative.

My husband and son are positive.

I'd find it very strange that I'd have a different cold / virus to them whilst they have covid. Has anyone else had this?

Testing on lateral flows by the way.

Thanks

I have heard anecdotally of someone who claims they didn't catch covid as they already had a nasty cold. How true this is I don't know. I'd keep testing

If you have symptoms and a negative lateral flow then maybe you should do a PCR. PCR can pick up covid over a longer period of time/earlier than LFTs can

Same here.
Friday morning DS2 tested + on a LFT the rest of the house were negative. We all went for a PCR and DS2 and DH were both positive, myself and DS1 both negative. Today me and DS1 both have cold symptoms and a temp, LFT still showing negative. We’ve been for a PCR this morning so will see what the results are by tomorrow hopefully. DS2 had Covid 13 months ago, DS1 had it 5 months ago. So this is a second infection for them both. It’s rife in both of their classes in school and in my husbands workplace as well.
