I’ve got a lot of sinus pressure going on too. Horrific night of barely any sleep, hot sweats and cold shivers alternating all night.

Took a lateral flow this morning and showing negative.

I guess I need to get a PCR now? But most people I know who have had covid has showing up on their lateral flow almost instantly.

It was 3 days after I'd had positive PCR before my LFT went positive.
My ds never had positive LFT throughout his covid despite pos PCR

Nomicron · 06/02/2022 08:02

Yeah get a PCR. I know quite a few recently who’s lft hasn’t shown positive until after symptoms started

ChimChimeny · 06/02/2022 08:02

Yes you should get a PCR. It could be something else though, DH had a cough & temp pre Christmas and negative PCR

helloisitmeyourelookingfor · 06/02/2022 08:05

This was me 10 days ago -went for a PCR which was also negative

There's more than just covid out there but definitely get a PCR to be sure

Madmog · 06/02/2022 08:11

Yes, a PCR to be sure.

I had a scratchy throat Monday on. Fine Tues, started feeling iffy Tues afternoon. It took until Thursday to test positive on LFT.

Hope you're ok.

MonsterKidz · 06/02/2022 08:16

Might not be covid. They say if symptoms and negative lateral flow to check with pcr.

Topbunny · 06/02/2022 08:20

Surely you've been ill before in your life. Not every sniffle is bloody covid!

My daughter started symptoms Friday, all LFT negative, PCR positive and just a slight positive on LFT on the Thursday (6 days after symptoms started). My son started with symptoms and his LFT was instantly positive when done the next morning.

Sounds like me, fever, headache, cold and cough on the Sunday night. PCR Monday negative and lfts. Ni6t until Wednesday did lft show positive. I ft terrible the whole time though.

Januarypip · 06/02/2022 09:47

I had a fever for 24 hours before it showed positive on lateral flow

Cuwins · 06/02/2022 09:49

It was a couple of days after a positive PCR/start of symptoms before I had a positive LFT. So yes definitely a PCR needed

louise143 · 06/02/2022 10:36

Just echoing the others, get a PCR. My LFT wasn't positive until around 3 days after symptoms started, PCR picked it up.

TiredMamaBear · 06/02/2022 13:18

Yup, I had the same. Continuous negative LFTs and then a negative PCR. Doctor says it was a virus. It's been over a week and I'm still recovering. Still testing negative.
