Did you isolate away from your children?

Two years I’ve lived in fear of covid and today it finally happened, I tested positive.

I have a 2 year old who is currently asleep in bed next to me. He has had a bit of a stuffy/runny nose the last couple of days and is a little clingier than usual, so I am assuming he has covid too and I am not isolating away from him.

I hope I’m doing the right thing. He is very attached to me and since we still co sleep I think he would really struggle without me for a potential 10 days!

Anyone else’s toddler display really mild symptoms like this? I did try and do a LFT on him but we barely managed to swab him so unsurprisingly it was negative.

Nope and never would. My 10 month old was clung to me the whole time I had covid and she either didn't catch it or had no symptoms. My oldest did catch it but he only had a sore throat for about half a day

I was very lucky that DH was off work most of the week which enabled me to self isolate. No one else caught it thankfully, that said I can’t imagine what I would have done if he was working.

I did but it was in the very early stages of the pandemic and had I had the child so young I don't think I would have. Plus after seeing how my then five-year-old reacted I wish I hadn't
