Do you think holidays will be normal this year?

We are hoping to go abroad this year; nothing booked so far. A European trip later in the year.

DH and I are triple vaxxed. Two of our DC are under 11 and one is 13. The 13 year old has SN and is unable to be vaccinated.

Do you think this will cause travel issues later in the year? Are PCR tests required at both ends before boarding?

Is it all just going to be a big hassle? Confused

@wonderstuff123

We had wanted to go to the Netherlands this summer but have dropped it due to their ridiculous quarantining rules and the UK being considered high risk. We're considered Croatia as they are quite relaxed but have settled on Sweden.
This is no longer the case. From Feb 2nd anyone who has received a booster more than 7 days prior to travel does not need to quarantine

Exactly,I have two 12 year olds who won't have boosters. So we can't go

Spain have already dropped the requirement. They cannot afford to do anything else.

We have booked a cruise from Venice to Barcelona in April this year. Just researching the entry requirements. We are triple jabbed from 29 October last year but it looks like, at the moment at least, we need a negative pcr or lf test.

I'm hoping the rest of Europe at least will follow our lead from next month and scrap these requirements but just wondering if/when would be the best time to book a test on the basis it may not be required?

Many countries have relaxed entry

eg france and spain no testing for entry if vax. Teens can have daily lft tests. In austria they do the ninja testing pass etc. There are not many places that you cant go now if its only the kids that are the issue - most countries have replaced vax with tests in the last week or so.
