Long covid loss of taste and smell

Hi , I’m looking for advice my mother in law has lost her taste and smell we think that she had Covid without any other symptoms .
It’s really getting her down any advice please ?the Dr did prescribe a steroid nasal spray which hasn’t helped

How long has it been? Mine still isn't right after nearly two years (got Covid at the very beginning of the pandemic). My smell and taste are back, but wrong (and horrible). There was a programme on Radio 4 about this a while ago and, as yet, they haven't got any treatments.

My daughter's came back all horrible and manky too. No improvement from then.
