I work part time 2 days a week and on monday my boss came in after having a few weeks off and decided to do a lft in his office after standing arround chatting to everyone for a good half an hour and tested positive. 2 days later on wednesday I become poorly and test positive on lft. Im annoyed at the fact common sence of my boss would be to do a pcr test at home before coming in, especially knowing there are 2 pregant people at work (1 pregnant person beeing me) and sevral other members of staff having health conditions/ have poorly/elderly people in their care, ie my supervisors husband has cancer and annother college looks lives and looks after his elderly nan

Unless he had covid symptoms, he didn’t need to do a pcr.
It would have made more sense to do the lft before coming in.

He definitely should have taken it before coming in.

You’ll get people saying you can pick up covid anywhere, but I agree he should have done his test at home before coming in. I saw someone doing one on the train the other day - the mind boggles.

Hope you have a quick recovery OP.

We keep LFTS at work after having an outbreak last year, a colleague took one last week before going to visit a building site, and it was positive.

Nobody is annoyed, how could he have known? He left straight away but had been in for a while.

I think we're all so used to doing them regularly and them being negative that we've sort of forgotten that at any point one could be positive!
