Hi,
My DS felt unwell Monday and tested negative on lateral flow. He continued to feel unwell and when we tested him yesterday he had a positive result.
I've been in close contact with him, on Tuesday I was hugging him lots and he accidentally coughed on my when I did his LFT.
I started to feel ill yesterday and still unwell today. Just feel a bit sick, headache and exhausted. All my lateral flow tests are negative.
I'm just wondering if there is a chance I may test positive or if it's just a coincidence I feel ill.
My last real contact with him was Tuesday, so would I test positive by now?
Obviously I'm still around him etc but now he's positive we are being more careful and he's pretty much confined to his room.

Symptoms within 2 days. Tested positive 8 days later for 6 whole days. It was infuriating. The longest isolation ever.

We had contact with a family member on evening of 27th December . briefly hugged them when arriving at their house and sat at the table for dinner that evening. Stayed over night but had no other particularly close contact. They tested positive on 28th December . 3 out of 4 of us tested positive on 31st. (We tested every day in between)
