Covid proof of recovery

We’re going to France for half term and daughter has tested positive on a lateral flow but has has symptoms since Saturday 29th. 12-15s need the pass sanitaire to get on ski lifts and one of the ways is proof of recovery.

I know that proof of recovery appears automatically in the NHS app after isolation period ends. However the question is this 10 days after symptoms starting or 10 days after a PCR?

Just logged on to ask where the recovery pass appears..... is it alongside the vaccinations, as separate QR code? DD is over 10 days past symptoms and today is day 10 past lateral flow, but I can't seem to find it.... Not sure that that helps you, but........

Actually, I remember now that I read somewhere that it's only a PCR that will show up on the Covid Pass in the app..... Took DD to have it late when I realised- 'luckily' it was positive, but we are still within 10 days of that test........

She’s having a PCR tomorrow so if this is positive the proof of recovery will appear in the app at some point. Just would be much better if it appeared 10 days after symptoms rather than 10 days after PCR.

The recovery pass appears 10 days after a positive test and in the form of an additional qr code alongside your others

It will appear 10 (or likely 11 in my experience) days after a positive PCR.

I had a positive LFT on 20 Jan, which I registered.
I then had a positive PCR on 21 Jan.

However, my covid recovery only refers to the PCR and uses the date it was done, not the date of symptoms or date of LFT.

Ok thanks. Sounds like it will appear 10-11 days after date of PCR test which is right but just about doable Confused

Oh no, DS didn’t do a pcr as he had a positive lateral flow. Does this mean he won’t have a recovery pass?

Abraxan · 04/02/2022 07:42

I can't find anything online about whether an LFT can trigger a covid recovery pass on the app, only PCR.
I know that mine has appeared referencing the PCR result only, and doesn't mention the LFT registered the day before.

WotgunShedding · 04/02/2022 07:47

Bugger, that’s frustrating! We would have got a PCR but didn’t want to use up resources unnecessarily if it wasn’t required, although clearly it is!

SW153kids · 04/02/2022 08:13

Bad luck. I happened upon a article in the Telegraph last week that said PCRs only- it was really badly ‘advertised’ that LFTs don’t count- I had to rush to book one and hope DD was still positive ….

WotgunShedding · 04/02/2022 08:27

He’s on day 9 although is returning negative lateral flows, so not sure if it worth doing a PCR just to have options. He also doesn’t turn 12 until the end of March so hopefully it doesn’t muck up potential last minute half term plans too much

SW153kids · 04/02/2022 09:19

Under 12 you are fine. Great!

Blubells · 04/02/2022 09:26

I can't find anything online about whether an LFT can trigger a covid recovery pass on the app, only PCR.

There would be a lot of cheating if anyone could just log a positive LTF in order to get a 6 month recovery pass!
