Anyone else feel mildly depressed after COVID?

Just that really. Have had (incredibly mild) COVID. So mild I would have missed it had my DD not had it -- had symptoms for about a day, then felt tired for another day.

But five days after symptoms finished I feel incredibly (and uncharacteristically) low. Really low mood, teary, hard to get ouf of bed, paranoid about everything, scatty and forgetful. Very out of character for me, as I have never really suffered from depression and occasional low moods are short-lived. I am peri-menopausal but this hasn't caused issues for me before.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this?

Sorry no one has answered! I currently have Covid so can’t say about afterwards ( although it has given me odd spacey/panicking/tearful feelings at time). As you’ve also noted could be peri menopause.

I also just wonder if it could be a reaction to finally having had covid? As in it’s been such unbelievably strange and stressful 2 years, where we have had frightening messages about covid and the need to avoid it drummed into us. I suspect it has affected many of subconsciously. Perhaps now you’re done your body/mind is releasing that tension?

I did, it took me a few weeks to get out of it. Might be as a result of doing nothing for 10 days, no exercise endorphins?

Yes me! Two weeks on from day 5 and still not feeling myself- tired and a bit tearful - and I'm not prone to depression generally. Doesn't help that I'm also still suffering from daily headaches which again is not something I normally have and am feeling very physically tense!
Hoping it resolves itself quickly!

Most definitely. I though it was due to feeling so drained and crap still (l had long covid afterwards). Plus the lack of exercise, isolation and general boredom -our WiFi was broken at this point

My husband said this was the worst thing about it, he just got over the depression and the booster set him back
