How long are PCR test results taking at the moment?

Couldn’t see a current thread on this. Sorry if I’ve missed it.

Interested in how long PCR results are taking to come back. If you could reply with what part of the U.K. you are in that would be super helpful.

Glasgow. A few days ago my son's took 13 hours to come back. DH however has been waiting 26 hours and counting.

Thanks. Had tests done in north London this morning. They said it should be within 24 hours. We’ll see I suppose!

Mine took 16 hrs.
Couple of days later, DSs took 12hrs. Guy said exect 24-48hrs tho.

West Yorkshire, on Tuesday this week, had the test at 10:15am and had the result at 22:44 the same day. Quickest one we've had!

13 hours yesterday. Mid Wales. Email arrived 00.05 but the text didn't arrive until nearly 6.30am.

These all sound much quicker than usual. Imagine it’s the impact of people not needing a confirmatory PCR if they test positive on lateral flow?
