Strong positive, came up in seconds.

Has a headache and temp, says he was shivery in the night.

I've let the school know - what else do I have to do?

Does he need a PCR to confirm? Do I just register the test as positive?

What are the rules for isolation and going back to school? Is it 5 days isolation now? Does he have to test negative on day 5?

Can everyone else in the house carry on as normal now unless get symptoms?

Register the test online. You will get an email back explaining exactly what to do.

Register the positive.

Today is day 0 so day 5 is Monday. So a negative Monday and Tuesday could be back to school Tuesday. If still showing positive then back to school the following Monday. (As day 10 is the weekend)

No pcr needed. Rest of house can carry on as normal. But LFT everyday as you are a close contact.

That should say if still showing positive everyday from day 5 then back to school after day 10.
You need 2 negatives 24 hours apart from day 5 😄

He has to test negative on days 5 and 6 to go out on day 6
Doesn't seem to be happening for many people though so assume the full ten days!

My understanding is that from day 5, he does a lat flow every day. Once he has 2 consecutive negative days he can go back to school.

Everyone else does a lat flow every day and carry on as normal unless positive.

thanks all really helpful
