Contact, non covid symptoms - timescale for testing positive?

DH tested positive this morning. I've got a slight headache, feel a bit sick and my eyes are stingy - none of the reasons to get a PCR. Just wondering how long it took others to test positive in a similar situation?
I did a LFT for work yesterday and have done two today, all negative.

Interestingly DH is on day 11 after contact - he's been WFH and only been out for walks in local countryside and supermarket with a mask on (and has done his best to distance from others in there).

Lots of people have only had a head-or headache & nausea in the case of 2 of my colleagues- and tested positive.

I think you should get a PCR test. You're eligible as you're a close contact of someone who is positive.

Unfortunately headache and nausea are both pretty common Covid symptoms. The temperature, cough and change of taste/smell is very out of date and was never particularly accurate anyway.
