I caught covid for the first time since all this started. I told 2 different friends who said so what and that I put myself in that position to catch it! I have been very careful throughout this and caught it from a housemate. The one friend who made the comments her sister, niece and mother have it and I bet she didn't tell them it was their fault. My guy friend said it was my fault and yet his wife has had it 8 days and is ill which he said she caught it from school and I bet he didn't tell his wife it was her fault. Who says to their friends when they are ill you have brought this on yourself? I wouldn't dream of saying that to a friend and would be sympathetic or providing solutions.

@VikingOnTheFridge

Either she has a CEV condition that you don't know about, or a mental health issue.

This is purely an assumption on your part.

Indeed - maybe she's just a spiteful, self-righteous hard-of-thinking twat.

Is there a reason they're saying that specifically to you then? Had you done something openly that was risky or flouted rules?
Or have you been insensitive to then in the past and this is their way of communicating it back to you? Or perhaps they don't like you for some other reason.
Neither of these behaviours is reasonable from them by the way.

They are weird. People have caught and shared diseases since the beginning of the human race. Nobody would wish it on anyone else and it makes sense to take precautions but it's nothing to be ashamed of!
