Positive on throat swab, negative on floflex

Has anyone experienced this? I got the old style ones through and was negative on floflex but positive on the old style ones. Presume there is maybe more detected in the throat. Ds has covid and I felt rough so went with the positive result and am isolating. I’m just thinking about the day 5/6 testing if my tests were so varied.
Would it suggest I just have covid in a mild form?

We actually used the flow flex as throat swab and got positives just as the sore throat started.

It progressed to shockingly positive on everything else thereafter.

It's said that omicron is more easily picked up in the throat (which is why we did that as Ds1 had tested positive a few days before.)

They count from first day of symptoms anyway I think?

I had the same.. I was negative with the floflex, but because feeling rough tested with the old ones too and got a v faint positive. I've only got the old style tests left now and even though I have been gradually been feeling better the positive line has been getting darker each time I've tested. I did end up feeling very rough day 2-4.Come day 5/6 I'd just go with whatever tests you have and with whether you still have a temperature. Good luck.
