DD tested positive on weds, DH day later. I’ve had a cough all week and felt rough, lfts all negative and pcr also negative - feel like absolute crap though but technically I could leave the house - should I do another PCR test in a couple of days if I’m still negative and feeling like crap? Honestly though by now I’d have tested positive and we could all have got it over and done with 🙈

In your shoes I'd just take it as I had it. You're clearly displaying symptoms. If you can avoid going out do it, although I appreciate its not always that easy with work!

DS has tested positive this morning and I'm just waiting on the rest of us getting it now Sad

DP tested positive this morning but I’m negative. Technically I can leave the house but doesn’t seem sensible. So frustrating.

Could you have a cold? We've all had covid but no cough and felt OK. I then a cold which made me feel 100x worse that covid!

Keep testing, i had symptoms for 4 days before positive LFT

If you subsequently test positive, your first day of symptoms will be day one anyway
Lots of symptomatic people I know have taken several days to record a positive test
You’ve done a -ve PCR you can leave the house if you want

I only got a positive lateral flow 6 days after symptoms Confused, I was isolating with DC anyway, but could've been out spreading it with merry abandon if I'd been listening to guidance. My symptoms werent the official 3, just scratchy throat and nausea. I did a PCR anyway.
