Daughter tested positive 23rd Jan. 8am.

Is still testing positive now. Is due back to school Thursday t&t say.

But we've not left the house since Sunday. 😖
Shes totally
asymptomatic.
I just can't work out the dates, it doesn't seem right.

I've asked before but it doesn't add up. It means we'll have been in 11 days

I think you don't need to test after day 10, you can come out of isolation.

Gizlotsmum · 29/01/2022 09:00

So day 0 is symptoms or positive test. Day 1 is the next day hence 11 days ( we tested positive 22nd, symptoms started 21st. We have finished our 10 days on Tuesday.

Neverfittedin85 · 29/01/2022 09:02

So is that right? School for Thursday?

Sorry to hear you've been stuck in too

Yes as you would be 2 days behind us as we had symptoms on the Friday 21st so you would be back 2 days later so Thursday. We have been lucky and I tested negative day 5 and 6 so could leave, everyone else tested negative yesterday so if all negative today we can get out early!! Hope you get negatives soon. It does suck tho!

Working on English rules

Positive test Sunday 23 =day 0.
Day 1 - mon
2 - Tues
3- wed
4- thurs
5- fri (did you take a lateral flow yesterday in case of early release, assuming England. Dont know the rules elsewhere)
6 - Sat (second consecutive negative lateral flow would stop 8solation)
7 - Sun
8- Mon
9 - Tues
10 - Wed. Last full day of isolation. Released at 23.59
Thurs - back to work school at latest.

I don't understand how anyone can be confused if they reported their positive test results to the NHS. They send you something like this then daily reminders. I just noted on my calendar when to start doing my lateral flow tests.

Why is she back at school day 12? Confused.

Sorry, I had a text from NHS stating clearly which day is dc’s last day of isolation.

SandrasAnnoyingFriend · 29/01/2022 09:38

You can go back to work tomorrow if you were negative today

SandrasAnnoyingFriend · 29/01/2022 09:38
