Pregnant with COVID - blood thinning injections?

Hello,
I’m currently very early on, 9 weeks pregnant. Had to cancel my booking in appt as I had a positive lft the day before, rang the midwife to explain who then referred me onto a covid midwife who rang me the following day.

Apart from vomiting for 24 hours (awful) I’ve been fine, she asked me to get anti sickness from the doctor which was a god send but also said I needed to give myself blood thinning injections (fragmin) everyday for 10 days, to reduce to risk of a blood clot. And also needed to record my blood oxygen and pulse 3 x a day with an oximeter from the hospital. I’m obviously grateful they’re being this cautions but was a bit shocked as I feel okayish really!
I’m normal bmi, no health conditions, no previous miscarriages, no family history of anything nasty or any increased risk of blood clots.
Has anyone else had this? Just interested as I haven’t seen it spoken about and I was a bit shocked it was this serious so early on

I would have the blood thinning injections.

My daughter had them when she had covid in pregnancy.

Covid is known to cause clots.

I just googled it and it does seem legitimate! Never heard of it before either, but I’ve not been pregnant since covid.
