Has anyone actually tested negative on day 5 then 6?!
Today is day 3 and DS is still strong (pic attached) Any chance it can be this strong then be negative by day 5?
Just have a feeling we will be stuck in for the full 10 days at the rate 😩

Day 9, triple jabbed.

Neverfittedin85 · 28/01/2022 21:16

Day 5 for dd and still positive. Weaker than at first but still a very visible line.

prettybird · 28/01/2022 21:19

Ds, who was triple vaccinated at Christmas, tested positive last Friday (very mild symptoms on Thursday) and was still testing positive on Tuesday and Wednesday. Not sure about yesterday and today (he's away at Uni).

Day 6

eyeblob · 28/01/2022 21:25

Daughter tested positive Wed faint, stronger next day. Negative today. Other daughter negative Sun. Very clear and strong positive Tuesday, still positive (they were bored and decided) to test themselves!

randomsabreuse · 28/01/2022 21:27

Day 12 for back to original no hint of a line tests. Day 11 for clear in the time. Wanted to see them go negative as I have volunteering commitments that require a negative LFT...

DH still faintly positive on D14

crochetcrazy1978 · 28/01/2022 21:30

They went fainter from day 7 but I wasnt negative til day 9, same for my daughter and husband

worriedatthemoment · 28/01/2022 22:22

My ds had a strong positive day 7 , day 8 still a positive quite dark but not as dark as 7 , day 9 no line whatsover

worriedatthemoment · 28/01/2022 22:23

I have never had a positive LFT Test only positive PCR

traveltheworld1986 · 28/01/2022 22:27

Day 12 for me (still left the house after day 10) triple jabbed too. My daughter was similar! No chance we would be getting negatives at day 5/6

Forgetaboutme · 28/01/2022 22:28

Negative by day 6. Had starting looking less strong on day 5. Before then it was a solid strong line.

I guess it all depends on how early you detected the infection. I was expecting a positive as my sons came up on a standard weekly test for school. I tested daily and got a faint positive three days later, so I had the full 10 days and more as positive. I know others who tested as they felt Ill and got strong positives as they were midway into an infection and got a negative much earlier.

This is exactly what happened to me - very faint then definite positives on Thursday then negative Friday. Starting to think I imagined it but I didn’t - I am a close contact of several cases plus I was hot and did have symptoms.
I’m vaccinated and had Covid (likely Delta) early November.

Was meant to be replying to eyeblob there…

I was never positive on the LFDs. It was crazy.
