When did your asymptomatic kids test negative. Frustrating isolation.

Hi DD tested positive on Sunday.

Woke with a headache that had gone withing an hour with no calpol etc. Absolutely no symptoms since whatsoever.

Tested for the headache and we routinely do a Sunday morning one ready for school. Otherwise would have no idea.

Day 5 today. Still positive.

Did your kids test neg early to be able to leave isolation early?
It's frustrating as she's missing school and her friends. We live in a flat so no outside access

I know it's to stop the spread before anyone moans. I'm just venting out of boredom.

@DontWantTheRivalry

neverfitted - mine is 7 too Smile

DH said if his LFT is fainter tomorrow then he’s going to take him to the event anyway.

I don’t quite know what to say to that Sad

@DontWantTheRivalry really hope your son tested negative again this morning and has gone to the event. Your main thread reached 1000 posts so I couldn’t ask on there!

Yes, he had a negative test again this morning so he’s happily gone off to the football Smile Thanks for asking Flowers

@DontWantTheRivalry

My son is on Day 6 and his line is still really strong. He’s completely symptomatic.

We’ve got tickets to go to an event tomorrow that he’s been looking forward to for months. He was absolutely devastated when we said he wouldn’t be able to go. He started crying and it broke my heart.

He asked me if he could still go if he promised not to eat all day so he didn’t have to open his mouth Sad

It was awful and we are all so upset for him.

It’s made 1000 times worse because he’s absolutely fine health wise and it seems so unfair.

I bloody hate Covid.

This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for him and it’s just not fair.

I would go anyway.

@DontWantTheRivalry I'll also get flamed but if this is truly a once in a life time ent, as you say, then take him. Put a mask on him.

Thre will be loads of people there with covid unknowingly.

So pleased for him, thanks for updating!
