Child tested negative on a routine LFT on friday. No symptoms.

Went out on Saturday to a local bookshop which was pretty much empty, and home again.

Saw Grandparents on Sunday at home. Negative LFT sunday night for school the next day.

School on Monday, absolutely fine. Negative LFT Monday night.

School on Tuesday absolutely fine.

Woke up at 10.30pm Tuesday with a sore throat.

Woke up Wednesday morning with symptoms, kept off school and taken for PCR.

PCR is positive.

When would you suggest it is likely she caught it?

Please no comments on how regularly tests are done.....this is with good reason

No-one should blame you op, it's unavoidable now. Sorry you are going through this, it's shit!!! I understand that you would feel anxious to be blamed though. Reframe it by trying to be proud of how caring you are and what a wonderful and responsible job of being a SM you are doing. Thanks for looking out for your sd.

The grandparents, as hard as it is, should be 100% aware that mixing closely with anyone is risky. They either take that risk or they decide not to but don't let them paint your sd as a modern day Typhoid Mary.

It looks very likely that she caught it first thing on Tuesday as we haven't seen her since. We are all testing negative, no symptoms, which we would likely have by now if it was before Tuesday
