I have nose only lft but would rather swab throat and nose as I think it will give a more accurate result.

Can I do this with a nose only lft?

Yes.

cherin · 26/01/2022 08:45

Yep. Done it many times on myself and kids. Who was going to turn up positive turned up positive. And negatives were negatives

We do both.
The hard swabs seem to make it easier to swab the throat compared to the bendy ones.

BlackLambAndGreyFalcon · 26/01/2022 08:57

Yes I do both.

FredBair · 26/01/2022 13:45

I have been doing both since I read that nose only is less likely to pick it up. A swab is a swab. If there is no covid to find then it won't find it.
If you have covid then most people want to know.

Yes, of course.

Weirdly, I find it easier to do my throat with the shorter stick Confused

All in my head I know but I get the same place but gag less.

Yes but you don't need to. Nose only is very accurate

Yes. I was positive today doing throat and nose, but negative just doing nose
