My 4.5 year old was negative on Sunday and this evening we did a lateral flow as there has been an outbreak in his class and were shocked to see two VERY clear lines.
At the moment he seems fine, playing as normal and no temperature, no symptoms.
I am laid in bed and now it's sinking in I'm thinking all sorts and starting to get myself worried about him being positive after evading it for so long.
I have health anxiety so I always knew this was going to be a trigger for me but if anyone who has HA knows your mind always keep drifting to the worse case scenario.
I keep reassuring myself that it's a good sign he's ok so far but then I find myself reading about how people have gone on to feel poorly later on.
Don't know what Im hoping for from this post but just feeling a little bit alone and scared going through this and not knowing what to expect 😞
What is the general timeline for children? What can I expect? And what should I look out for? Thanks for reading 😌

We’ve all had it (2 adults, 7 year old & 5 year old). No one has been ill really. Headaches, sore throat & tired for a few days in case of me and OH. 7 year old we’d have had no clue without the test & the 5 year old had a mild temp for one night. Loads of friends kids have it currently (1 in 5 of their school are off this week with it) - no one has been any more ill than you’d expect with a cold & many of them are asymptotic
