I got a bit of blood on my stick from my nose, will my LTF result be affected? It was just a bit pink. My test result is neg, hopefully not voided

I did the same as you today as I’m doing my day 5 get out of isolation test and it came up positive so I think it still works

Ive heard it can affect the result slightly- when my son had it there was a touch of blood on it, came up very faint line, did another one a couple of hours later and it was a lot stronger.

I always have a bit of blood from my nose and am still testing positive.

Imdoingitnow · 24/01/2022 16:56

So it's ok then? Not messing with result?

I would think it would be ok. My nose bleeds every single time I do a covid test and it's more than just a bit pink. I think 18 months of testing at least twice a week has made my nasal membranes very sensitive.

Dp got positives from swabs with blood on. On of his first symptoms was an extreme migraine and nose bleeds on and off for hours so blood on nasal swab was unavoidable!
