Ds 10 has tested positive this morning on a LFT.
He has no other symptoms aside from a headache and is now asleep.
I didn't know vomiting was a thing with covid. My poor boy.
Has anyone any experience?

Hope he feels better soon. Vomiting isn't unusual.

Yes. My DS who is also 10, had initial symptoms of headache and stomachache, then after a few hours he vomited a couple of times. Didn’t develop a fever until a few hours after that, which lasted about 36 hours. Then had a cough for about another 36 hours.

A lot of children do seem to have these symptoms. It’s a shame that the guidance isn’t updated. My DS had the headache and stomachache on and off at school from after lunchtime. He didn’t ask to go home as he didn’t feel too ill, and had no idea that they could be Covid symptoms. I didn’t know either!!

He's vomiting a lot, really yelping in pain when he does it too.
Poor love.
Doesn't appear to have any other symptoms.

My 11 year old was the same in December. Was sick twice in the space of a couple of hours but was then absolutely fine every day after that. If I didn’t know it was Covid I would have thought she just had a 24hr stomach bug.

My Ds had the same, fever, vomiting and nausea. And exhaustion. No cough. It lasted about 2 days. He was pretty much fine afterwards, but tested positive up to day 12…

A colleague has just been off with it and said she was vomiting everytime she needed to talk and a really sore throat. Sounds grim. Hope your DS feels better soon.

Well, he vomited all of yesterday but slept soundly all night. No other symptoms so far
