Currently got covid in the house. 1 child no symptoms. 2 fevers.
What can I expect. When do symptoms peak or is there hope that kids will not get too many symptoms. Feeling so scared for them especially my baby.

My symptoms
Sore throat
Hoarse voice
runny/stuffy nose
Head ache on 3/4 days

Was no worse than a mild cold , which made it more annoying to be isolating- my isolation ended Christmas Day !

Wednesday day : felt absolutely fine but had to take a PCR for work as DH had had a positive LFT that morning.

Thursday morning: PCR came back negative so I went to work and felt fine all day.

Got home on Thursday evening and fell asleep on the sofa at 9pm which is very unlike me.

Woke up on Friday and felt generally fine but my legs were aching and I had a slight headache so as DH was positive I took an LFT which came back positive. I also took another PCR for work purposes (which came back positive).

On Saturday (Day 1) I felt ok, I had a slight headache but nothing major. My legs and back still felt really achey but I was still pretty much myself. I tested my eldest son with an LFT as both me and my DH had Covid and it came back positive. My son was completely asymptomatic that day.

Yesterday (my Day 2) I felt really lethargic and didn’t really get out of bed. I had a headache, a sore throat, a weak cough and a loss of appetite. I was taking paracetamol and ibuprofen during the day just to take the edge off. My son also started coughing on this day.

Today (Day 3) and I feel pretty much myself. I’m blocked up and I can’t stop sneezing and although my cough is a little worse I don’t feel ill. I’ve spent the day doing housework, sorting out the children’s bedrooms, playing games with the children all day etc. I’m not having to take any painkillers or any other medicines and I feel like I do most days.

So here’s hoping it’s not going to get any worse.

My DH is currently on Day 5 and although he’s got a really bad cough, he’s been fine ever since he took his first LFT, he hasn’t felt ill at all and has just been working from home (he’s a teacher and has been doing online classes).

And my eldest son who is positive (he’s almost 8) is absolutely fine apart from coughing every now and then.

None of us have had fevers or any concerns about our chests or our breathing.

We have been testing our youngest son every day for the last 4 days and he’s remained negative.

We've all had it, and when it came to DS he was ill for about three days in total - he was snotty and tired, then he threw up, and then he went back to being snotty and tired. Low level fever on the first evening. Woke up on the fourth day and was pretty much back to normal - just tired slightly ahead of his normal bedtime for a few days. For the grown ups, it's been more of a range of symptoms, but children do seem to be getting off more lightly.
