Anyone not vaccinated and never had Covid?

I just wondered. Because a friend isn't, is prepared to take his chances and says he has great health. He is very fit and strong, it's true.

He's only 37. Should I even bother expressing concern?

I don't think people can say they definitely haven't had it as they may have displayed no symptoms

Well there was a whole 12 months of covid before vaccine turned up, so of course loads of people have had it without being vaccinated!

I had original version of covid last January. pre-vaccines, as did my DC. Nothing major.

Oh and we haven't had it since, so just the one time in 2 years, and we're the only people I know who've had it.

I'm unvaccinated, and to my knowledge I've not had Covid. DH is triple-vaccinated and we have three school-age DC. I'm the only one who has managed to escape it (despite eldest DC having brought it home three times in a year) - which makes me wonder if I've had it in a very mild form that I haven't noticed, and I've built up an immunity from that.

I'm unvaccinated and haven't had it since we were made aware it was in the UK. However, I'm fairly convinced that the virus I had in November 2019 which left me feeling like I was at deaths door, and knocked me out until around mid Jan 2020 was it. I'd just come back from being abroad too... Will never know though. All my children have had it and I've not caught it from them...

Well you can though. If you've never had symptoms then you've never had 'covid'. Covid is the disease caused by the SARS Cov 2 virus. Not everyone who tests postive will develop disease. You can test positive for the virus and never develop covid. I think the confusion comes from calling the tests covid tests, they don't detect covid only the virus that causes it.

Anyway yes, unvaccinated and never had covid. My dd has just had it for the first time and I still never got it. She was ill for 2 days then completely back to normal.

His choice, albeit a daft one. Thing is many unjabbed people get covid and are fine but for many they become seriously ill and it was not a risk I was willing to take!

I have a sister who's unjabbed. She's 19 and wants to go to uni once she's finished her third year of college. I think she's stupid for not taking the vaccine but I keep my gob shut.
