Have I forgotten how to count to 10 or have test and trace?

DS1 tested positive on 16th and test and trace give the end of his isolation (notwithstanding testing negative earlier) as 26th Jan. Fine.

I tested positive yesterday (21st) and t&t give my end of isolation as 29th?!
Although the app says 31st.
It’s an automated online thing now so how can it get it wrong?
I’m baffled.

When did you get your symptoms or do your test?

They do it from symptom or test date, not result date.

It’s 10 full days after the day you start showing symptoms, not 10 days after you test positive . I started feeling ropey on the 12th, took a pcr on the 13th, got the positive result on the 14th and had to isolate until midnight on the 23rd. Hope you don’t feel too rough with it

Test date, or date of symptoms, is day 0.

So, looks like your DS's is correct and your app is correct UNLESS you told T&T a different onset of symptoms date.

The day you get a positive LFT or start symptoms is day 0, your isolation ends at midnight of 10 day.

Did you have symptoms from the 19th?

Did you have symptoms? Are they going by 7 day isolation instead of 10 maybe?
